Important Info about Field Trip Tomorrow

Lobby Meet:  8:20 AM

Bus Departure: 8:30 AM (on DOT!)

New Balance (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

The New Balance team has important floor rules, which we’ll review before entering the manufacturing space:

Safety glass, hearing protection, & and closed-toe shoes must be worn at all times. Safety glasses & hearing protection will be provided before touring the manufacturing floor.

Hair, including beards, must be pulled back and up off shoulders.

No food is allowed.

No Competitors’ Logos on clothing or shoes (i.e. Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Reebok, Puma, Skechers, etc.).

Jewelry/Scarf: Scarfs, Rings (pinky + thumb rings), necklaces, earrings, bracelets with dangles that could get caught in a machine, or other items that may present a potential risk or exposure to injury, may not be worn on the manufacturing floor. 

NOTE: guests will not be permitted to operate machinery but given they will be near some equipment, we ask that they adhere to this rule.

Dress Code: All tops must cover the torso and undergarments, which includes coverage of undergarments so that they’re not visible. Shorts must be at least mid-thigh length.  Must be appropriate for the work environment.

Helfrich Brothers (11:15 AM  - 12:30 PM)

Helfrich’s only requirement: No open-toe shoes 

Hot Lunch:  Ms. O’Malley and Ms. Crowder (MassHire) ordered a hot buffet from a local place, arriving at 11:30 AM.  I believe they tour smaller groups at a time at Helfrich, so some kids can eat while others rotate tours. Pack-a-Lunch Option:  Please feel free to bring your own bagged lunch!
