The Team Grows
Tiny houses are a sustainable way of living and help reduce our impact on the environment. To make Marblehead's tiny house even more Eco-friendly, the AP Environmental students led by teacher Kate Rodgers, are researching different materials that are durable, from sustainable sources and don't contain chemicals hazardous to human health. VOC-free paints and varnishes help maintain indoor air quality. Cabinets and flooring made from sustainably-sourced materials help protect our natural resources. Selecting energy-star appliances conserves energy, reducing our impact on the environment. Once complete, the recommendations will be passed along to the Tiny House Team for final review and selection.
